A nine day-long workshop on ‘Contemporary Publications of Bangladesh’ focusing on Sustainable
Development Goal (SDG-13) for the Graphic Design students of MFA 1 st part of 2023-2024 was held
at the department from 11-21 November 2024.
Dr. Farjana Ahmed, Associate Professor of the department, conducted the workshop successfully.
The workshop will enable the students to be able to:
By Developing Visual Narratives, students learn to create compelling illustrations of complex
climate issues that are both informative and emotional.
Experiment with Materials, they may have explored using sustainable, recycled, or eco-friendly
materials in their artwork to align with the theme of sustainability.
Raise awareness through art by addressing SDG 13, students probably created projects aimed at
encouraging environmental responsibility and promoting action on climate issues within their
communities or beyond.
This workshop Collaborate on Global Issues might have integrated concepts from science,
technology, and policy to make their artwork not just creative but also educational and impactful.
In this workshop, students apply experimental techniques like mixed media painting to create
illustrations that are dynamic and immersive experience.
