The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), University of Dhaka, has introduced a Research Grant Programme for junior faculty members who have successfully completed the Research Methodology Training organized by IQAC. The primary objective of this initiative is to provide participants with practical opportunities to apply the research methodologies, tools, and techniques acquired through the training, while further strengthening their research capacity through supervised research and scholarly publication.
As part of this initiative, IQAC, University of Dhaka, organized a Research Grant Agreement Signing Ceremony on 09 & 11 June 2026 at its office premises. The ceremony brought together the selected faculty members who were nominated following a competitive call for research proposals.
A total of five faculty members Asia Khatun, Assistant Professor, Department of Accounting; Md. Roni Mridha, Lecturer, Institute of Social Welfare and Research; Aishia Fyruz Aishi, Lecturer, Department of Meteorology; Rokeya Akter, Lecturer, Department of Fisheries; and Azrin Afrin, Assistant Professor, Department of History were awarded research grants and signed agreements to undertake their proposed research projects.





The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. M. Rezaul Islam, Director, IQAC and the Additional Directors Professor Dr. Md. Saiful Alam, Professor Dr. Md. Wahadoszamen, Dr. Mustak Ibn Ayub and Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Islam along with the selected grant recipients.
During the ceremony, IQAC officials underscored the importance of promoting high-quality research and enhancing the research capacity of faculty members through continuous training, mentorship, and financial support. They expressed optimism that the funded projects would make significant contributions to knowledge generation, academic excellence, and evidence-based research practices.
