The vision of the Institute is to be a leading national center of excellence in National Institute of Social Welfare and Social Work for education, research, learning, teaching and producing skilled social workers.
Mission of the Institute
The mission of this institute is to produce high quality human power to be able to address social problems professionally, including to conduct research in social welfare, social work and other related areas for materials development and guidance to teaching and learning. Some other missions of ISWR are:
To equip the students with theoretical and practical knowledge to understand multifarious and multidimensional social problems;
To build a competent of a problem-solving skilled manpower and program planner;
To train the students with field based knowledge for professional social work practice in the context of diverse groups and community;
To make leadership for bringing planned social change and efficient social services delivery system for the maximization of welfare of the society;
To develop new knowledge through research, innovation, and practice as well as to equip students of maintaining ethical standard practice addressing social needs and problems; and
To ensure excellence in national and international social work standards, practice, and development.
