Dhaka University Nanotechnology Centre (DUNC) is organizing a seminar on 30 January 2025 to discuss
the latest advancements in nanotechnology and its applications in pharmaceuticals and electronics. The
Convener of the seminar is Prof. Dr. Aminul I. Talukder, Director of the Centre for Advanced Research
in Sciences (CARS) of the University of Dhaka.
A welcome address from Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Bin Hasan Susan, Director of DUNC, will initiate the
seminar. This will be followed by addresses from the special guest, Prof. Dr. Upama Kabir, Dean of the
Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Pro-Vice
Chancellor (Academic) of the University of Dhaka.
Lectures will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Md. Selim Reza, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of
Dhaka on "From Conventional to Nano-Drug Delivery Systems: Revolutionizing Modern Medicines" and
Prof. Dr. Jai Singh, Department of Pure and Applied Physics of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya,
Bilaspur, India, on "Recent Progress of Two-Dimensional Transition Metal Dichalcogenides for
Thermoelectric and Transistor Application"
The seminar will conclude with a round table discussion, chaired by Prof. Dr. Md. Emran Quayum,
Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka, to discuss further advancements in nanotechnology.
