Student Activities

The Department occasionally organizes study tour within Bangladesh for the students of Final Year.

The Department organizes an orientation program cum reception for incoming freshers regularly.

The Urdu Department occasionally organizes Urdu mushaira. The first International Mushera was organized in the 2014. Then in 2019 mushaira was organized at the national level. The Urdu poets from India, Qatar, England, Canada, Norway, Egypt, Germany and Bangladesh participated in the 2020 International Mushaira.

The Urdu department occasionally hosts international conferences. The first international conference was held on the 2004. An international conference with researchers from India and Bangladesh was organized on the 2017. Professors, researchers from India, Qatar, England, Iran, Canada, Norway, Egypt, Germany and Bangladesh pesent the research article at the International Conference on 2020.

The Department of Urdu encourages its students to interact with each other and to engage in extra-curricular activities. The students of different years organize cultural functions on different occasions.
