The Master of Professional Marketing (MPM) Program, Department of Marketing, University of Dhaka, organized the Orientation Program for the 15th Batch on Friday, August 07, 2026 at Professor Dr. Abdullah Farouk Multipurpose Hall, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka to welcome the fresher’s wholeheartedly.
Professor Mahmood Osman Imam, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies at the University of Dhaka, attended the event as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, he emphasized the critical need to develop competent marketing professionals capable of leading organizations in a dynamic business environment. He also encouraged the newly admitted students to pursue academic excellence, continuous learning, and professional integrity throughout their journey in the Master of Professional Marketing (MPM) program.
Brigadier General Md. Khalequzzaman, psc, MDS, MBA (Retd), Chief Executive Officer, Fortis Group present as the Guest of Honor. Drawing from his corporate experience, he emphasized the significance of professional ethics and corporate culture. He urged students to maintain a healthy balance between rigorous academics and co-curricular engagements to build a well-rounded career.
Professor Md. Ashraful Islam Chowdhury, PhD, the most senior professor in the Department of Marketing, attended the event as the Special Guest. In his address, he highlighted the critical importance of self-development and effective communication. He encouraged incoming students to utilize the department's extensive resources and actively participate in various platforms to enhance their leadership skills.

The Chairman of the department - Professor Serajul Hoque, PhD chaired the session and Professor Samir Kumar Sheel, PhD Coordinator, Master of Professional Marketing was offer vote of thanks, expressing his sincere appreciation to the Chief Guest, Special Guests, distinguished faculty members, Senior Alumni’s (MAA), MPM Club, students, office staff and all others whose support contributed to the successful organization of the Orientation Program. The event concluded with a batch photograph followed by dinner.
