Invitation to join International Women’s Day 2025
Dear Sir/Madam,
It is our immense pleasure to invite you to the celebration of International Women’s Day 2025 organized by the Department of Women and Gender Studies, University of Dhaka. The program will be held on 27 February 2025 in the Professor Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Dhaka. The theme for International Women's Day this year is “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights, Equality, Empowerment”.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Sayema Haque Bidisha, the Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration), University of Dhaka, will deliver a keynote speech. Our Special Guest for this program will be Dr. Taiabur Rahman, Honorable Dean (Acting) of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Dhaka. Professor Dr. S M A Faiz, Honorable Chairman of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission, will grace this event as the Chief Guest.
On this day, we will also honor Professor Dr. Nazmunnessa Mahtab for her appointment as the Rokeya Chair (2024-2026) by the Bangladesh University Grants Commission.
Dr. Sabiha Yeasmin Rosy, Chairperson, Department of Women and Gender Studies, University of Dhaka will preside over this session.
