Seminar on Cancer Care: A Gender Perspective | Sufia Kamal Lecture Series
The Department of Women and Gender Studies, University of Dhaka, organized a seminar titled “Cancer Care: A Gender Perspective” under the Sufia Kamal Lecture Series, in collaboration with the Center for Cancer Care Foundation, to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The seminar was held on Sunday, 26 October 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in Room 5030 of the department.

Ms. Roksana Afroz, President of the Center for Cancer Care Foundation; Ms. Jahan-e-Gulshan, Secretary; and volunteer Ms. Mahbuba Panna attended the event along with Dr. Sabiha Yeasmin Rosy, Chairperson of the Department of Women and Gender Studies, University of Dhaka, faculty members, and students.
Speakers emphasized the importance of raising awareness about breast cancer and discussed cancer care from a gender-sensitive perspective.
