Cloud Computing
Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka, is one of the pioneers in Bangladesh that conduct research and development activities in the field of Cloud Computing. Topics of interest amongst researchers in IIT include Cloud Computing Provenance for Security Intelligence, Self-Healing Software Components using Cloud, Effective Storage and Analysis of big data in Cloud, Resource Provisioning in Cloud, and Cloud Economics. IIT has prevailed in this field through conducting real life experiments and reporting those in international journals and conferences. At the same time, the researchers of IIT specializing in cloud have coordinated with the industry and played significant role in setting up the cloud environment for Panacea Systems LTD, the first real life cloud service provider in Bangladesh. Their research work has been supported by different fellowships awarded from Ministry of Science and Technology, Bangladesh and project grants from University Grant Commission.
