Prakriti Path (Nature Study): Annual Study Tour 2025
Prakriti Path the annual study tour of 2025 of the Department of Sculpture, University of Dhaka has been held. It covered the Sreemangal and Kamalganj upazilas of Moulvibazar district at the north east of Bangladesh. It gave students the opportunity to observe the flora and fauna of tea gardens, rain forest, hills, lakes and streams. The students gained first hand knowledge of the life and culture of the Manipuri, Khasia and tea labourer communities. The three day tour explored the Madhabpur tea garden and lake, and the Manipuri Lalitkala Academy of Kamalganj, the Lawachara rainforest and Khasia village, Laltila and Phulchhara tea garden of Sreemangal.
A total of 43 students of the MFA and BFA programmes, 4 teachers and 4 staff members participated iin the tour. It is hoped that this encounter with flora, fauna, nature, life and culture will help to expand the students' thoughts and ideas about art.

প্রকৃতি পাঠ শিরোনামে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভাস্কর্য বিভাগের বার্ষিক শিক্ষাসফর ২০২৫ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। ২৬ থেকে ২৮ ফেব্রুয়ারি পর্যন্ত শিক্ষাসফরটি বাংলাদেশের উত্তর-পূর্বাংশের মৌলভিবাজার জেলার শ্রীমঙ্গল ও কমলগঞ্জ উপজেলায় অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। শিক্ষার্থীবৃন্দ এই শিক্ষাসফরের মাধ্যমে চা বাগান, চিরহরিৎ ঘনবর্ষণ বনাঞ্চল, টিলা, হ্রদ ও বিভিন্ন জলধারার প্রাণ-প্রকৃতি পর্যবেক্ষণ করে। সেইসাথে মণিপুরি, খাসিয়া ও চা-শ্রমিক জনগোষ্ঠীর জীবন ও সংস্কৃতি সম্পর্কে প্রত্যক্ষ ধারণা অর্জন করে। তিনদিনের এই সফরে কমলগঞ্জের মাধবপুর চা বাগান ও হ্রদ, মণিপুরী ললিতকলা একাডেমি, লাউয়াছড়া চিরহরিৎ ঘনবর্ষণ বনাঞ্চল ও খাসিয়াপুঞ্জি এবং শ্রীমঙ্গলের লালটিলা ও ফুলছড়া চা বাগান পরিদর্শন করা হয়।
প্রকৃতি পাঠ শীর্ষক শিক্ষাসফরে ভাস্কর্য বিভাগের এমএফএ ও বিএফএ প্রোগ্রামের মোট ৪৩ জন শিক্ষার্থী, ৪ জন শিক্ষক ও ৪জন কর্মচারী অংশগ্রহণ করে। এই সফরের মাধ্যমে প্রাণ-প্রকৃতি, জনজীবন ও সংস্কৃতি সংক্রান্ত প্রত্যক্ষ অভিজ্ঞতা শিক্ষার্থীদের শিল্পচিন্তার বিস্তারে ভূমিকা রাখবে বলে প্রত্যাশা করা যায়।
