About Department of Nuclear Engineering

The Department of Nuclear Engineering, University of Dhaka has begun its academic activity in December 2012 under the leadership of Professor Dr. Khorshed Ahmad Kabir. At present, Dr. Animesh Pal is serving as the chairman (acting) of the Department. At the commencement, the Department admitted 25 students to the M.Sc. program in a competitive admission test. Currently, there are 131 B.Sc. students, 14 ‍M.Sc. students, and 2 Ph.D. students. This Department is the first of its kind and is the pioneer in nuclear engineering education in Bangladesh.
