Mission
- To conduct educational programs on sculpture at the graduate, post graduate and research levels.
- To initiate research, publications, seminars, symposia, and other activities on sculpture.
- To educate professional sculptors who can apply their knowledge in building their careers as independent practicing sculptors and also to be able to contribute their skill and knowledge to different applied fields of three dimensional and two-dimensional visual arts.
- To educate sculptors capable of working in the contemporary global context.
- To take initiatives to establish sculpture in society through exhibitions, publications, seminars etc.
- To conduct exchange programs with renowned national and international universities and research institutions.
- To organize workshops, seminars, symposia, lectures etc. by nationally and internationally renowned artists, teachers, art theorists, art critics to encourage interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, post disciplinary and other practices.
- To encourage students to participate in social and cultural activities and take diverse initiatives in this regard.
- To encourage students to develop and express individual thoughts and ideas through the curriculum of the Department. To design teaching methods to inspire innovative capabilities of students.
