Newly appointed South Korean Ambassador in Bangladesh AHN Seong-doo called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today November 9, 2015 at the latter’s office of the university.

During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest specially the possibilities of strengthening bi-lateral relationship between Bangladesh and Korea. They also discussed regarding establishment of “Korean Language Department” at the Institute of Modern Languages of Dhaka University. They stressed the need for exchange of more cultural teams between the two countries. The possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs by the University of Dhaka and higher educational institutions in South Korea were also discussed in the meeting.

Later, South Korean Ambassador visited the “Buddha Statue” at the Jagannath Hall premises of the university.
