Prof. Dr. Keiichi Ogawa of Kobe University, Japan called on Dhaka University (DU) Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed yesterday November 20, 2024 at the latter’s office of the university.

Chairman of the Department of Japanese Studies of DU Dr. Md Jahangir Alam was present on this occasion.

During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interests specially the possibilities of strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programs between Dhaka University and Kobe University, Japan. They also discussed the possibilities of exchange of teachers, students and researchers between these two universities to foster academic collaboration and knowledge sharing. Arranging conferences, seminars, symposia and holding special lectures under the joint auspices of these two universities were also discussed in the meeting. They agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard soon.         

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed thanked the guest for his visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
