Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cavas of the Firat University of Turkey called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan today June 26, 2025 at the latter’s office of the university.

During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interests specially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs between the University of Dhaka and Firat University of Turkey. Exchange of teachers, students and researchers between the two universities were also discussed in the meeting.

Later, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cavas met DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed at his office.

 Earlier, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cavas delivered a paper on "Nano-materials and Optical Sensors" on June 25, 2025 at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering as well as the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering of DU.
