Emeritus Prof. Dr. Rosnani Hashim and Assistant Prof. Dr. Nazatul Akmar Bt Mokhtar of International Islamic University, Malaysia paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan today June 26, 2025 at the latter’s office of the university.

Director General of Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT) Prof. Dr. M Abdul Aziz was present on this occasion.

During the meeting DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan stressed the need for strengthening international collaboration to upgrade academic and research activities.

Malaysian Professors expressed their willingness to conduct joint collaborative academic and research activities with DU. They also want to work together for development of curriculum in tertiary level education to produce skilled human resources.   

Earlier, Emeritus Prof. Dr. Rosnani Hashim presented a paper on ‘The Necessity of Application of the Wisdom Pedagogy in Arts and Humanities for the 21st Century’ in an international seminar at the Institute of Education and Research (IER) of DU. Assistant Prof. Dr. Nazatul Akmar Bt Mokhtar also delivered a paper on ‘Teaching Methodology in Arabic and Islamic Studies’ in the seminar.
