Bangladesh-Kuwait Maitree Hall is the third hall established for female students of the University of Dhaka. Foundation of this hall was laid in 1989 with financial assistance from the Government of Kuwait and was unveiled on 19th May 1990. The hall consists of two main blocks, dining hall, auditorium, Hall Union office, BNCC room, prayer room, indoor games room, debating room, guest room, library, reading room, common room, music/dance room, shop and photocopy corner. Students participate in the general meetings with the Provost, House Tutors and Hall Union. Students are also offered services by physician and psychologist. The hall is equipped with computer lab, IPS and WiFi. Students can avail bus service to commute to the main campus. Seats are allotted to the applicants every year on the basis of merit following the established rules and regulations set by the university. The hall organizes different programs that also facilitate maintaining a cultural coherence. Occasions like Eid, Pooja, Language Martyrs Day, Independence Day, Victory Day and all other national days. Students participate in different indoor and outdoor games and co-curricular activities. Hall administration tries wholeheartedly to keep a congenial and peaceful stay of the students for ensuring their academic excellence.
