On 10 May, 2022 In a significant stride towards fostering collaborative academic and research endeavors, the University of Dhaka's Department of Oceanography and ICOG and Noakhali Science and Technology University's Department of Oceanography inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The solemn ceremony unfolded on 10th May, 11:00 AM, at the distinguished Abdul Matin Chowdhury virtual classroom.
The event witnessed the esteemed presence of luminaries from both universities. Representing the University of Dhaka were Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Vice-Chancellor; Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education); Professor Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer; Professor Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences; Mr. Probir Kumar Sarker, Registrar; and Dr. KM Azam Chowdhury, Chairman, Department of Oceanography.
The Noakhali Science and Technology University delegation was led by their esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Didar-ul-Alam, and Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Baki. Accompanying them was an impressive cohort of 14 representatives from various capacities within the institution.
The formalization of the partnership was marked by the signing of the MoU. Professor Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer of the University of Dhaka, and Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Baki, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Noakhali Science and Technology University, had the honor of endorsing the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.
