Lamea Tanjin Tanha and her organization TransEnd Crafts became one of the 24 finalists of the UNLEASH Plus, a social business competition, and got the opportunity to join the Innovation Lab in Kigali, Rwanda from 30th Nov - 10th Dec 2023. UNLEASH Plus supports early-stage entrepreneurs worldwide who are uniquely qualified to solve their particular problem, but need access to the skills, tools, mindset, networks, and resources that will push their solution from minimum viability to product market fit. TransEnd Crafts is an e-commerce platform by TransEnd to promote the arts and crafts made by the grassroot gender-diverse community of Bangladesh including logistics, marketing, and product consultancy support for the artisans. On 2nd Dec 2023, Lamea Tanjin Tanha became one of the three young changemakers to be awarded as the "Young Humanitarian of the Year" at the 3rd Bangladesh Sustainability Excellence Award by The Daily Star and the CSR Window Bangladesh. She received this award for her contribution towards the grassroot gender-diverse community. She is the Founder of TransEnd which aims to uplift 1 million marginalized and underrepresented gender-diverse people in Bangladesh through Training, Healthcare, Employment and Entrepreneurship.
