The Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at DU was Invited to Attend the International Conference at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology
From January 31st to February 1st, 2025, Dr. Yang Hui, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at Dhaka University, was invited to participate in the International Conference on "Politics, Society, and Development" hosted by the Department of Political Science, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. The conference attracted nearly 500 scholars, experts and students including international speakers from Italy and China.
Dr. Yang Hui delivered a goodwill speech and a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. She also chaired a panel discussion and engaged in in-depth exchanges with scholars and students from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology and other universities.
In addition, during the conference, she was invited to meet with Professor Dr. A. M. Sarwaruddin Chowdhury, the Vice-Chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. Both sides discussed how to strengthen cooperation, especially on promoting the development of Chinese teaching at Shahjalal University of Technology.
2025年1月31日至2月1日，达卡大学孔子学院中方院长杨惠应邀出席由沙贾拉尔科技大学政治学系主办的国际会议。本次国际会议的主题为“政治、社会与发展”，孟加拉国教育顾问特别助理阿米鲁尔教授（Professor Dr. M. Aminul Islam）也应邀出席，数百名专家、学者和青年学生参加了会议，共同探讨相关领域的前沿议题。
杨惠院长受邀在开幕式上致辞，并以“人文交流视角下的中孟关系”为题作主旨报告。会议第二天，她还主持了一场以“全球南方：中国与印度”为议题的分会场研讨，与来自多所高校的研究人员和沙贾拉尔科技大学的学生进行了深入交流与探讨。此次会议共收到120余篇学术论文，涵盖政治、经济、社会、外交、安全、文化等多个领域，为与会者提供了高水平的学术交流平台。
此外，会议期间，杨惠院长还应邀会见了沙贾拉尔科技大学校长沙瓦乌丁（ Professor Dr. A. M. Sarwaruddin Chowdhury）教授，双方就进一步深化合作，特别是推动沙贾拉尔科技大学汉语教学的发展进行了深入交流。
