Introduction to the faculty

The Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Dhaka is considered the most diverse academic branch within the university. Since its establishment on October 2, 1970, the faculty has encompassed a wide range of academic disciplines related to human culture, society, and politics, conducting research both theoretically and based on field data. To foster students' academic and professional development through interdisciplinary knowledge, skills, and values, the faculty currently hosts 16 academic departments.
