The Master of Professional Human Resource Management (MPHRM) Program, Department of Management, University of Dhaka, organized the Orientation Program for the 16th Batch on Friday, 10 July 2026, at Ballroom-III (Level-1) of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.
Professor Dr. Mahmood Osman Imam, Dean, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, attended the program as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, he emphasized the importance of developing competent and ethical HR professionals capable of leading organizations in an increasingly dynamic business environment. He encouraged the newly admitted students to pursue academic excellence, continuous learning, and professional integrity throughout their journey in the MPHRM Program.
The ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Md. Mesbah Uddin, Coordinator of the MPHRM Program. In his welcome address, he warmly greeted the students and guests and highlighted the vision, objectives, and distinctive features of the MPHRM Program. He reaffirmed the Program's commitment to nurturing future HR leaders by combining academic rigor with practical industry exposure and professional development initiatives.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Thoufiqul Islam, Chairman, Department of Management, attended the program as a Special Guest. In his remarks, he welcomed the students to the Department of Management and encouraged them to make the best use of the University's academic resources and learning environment. He emphasized the importance of critical thinking, teamwork, and lifelong learning in building successful careers in human resource management.
Professor Md. Ali Akkas attended the program as a Special Guest. He shared his valuable experiences from academia and inspired the students to remain committed to excellence, discipline, and professionalism. He also encouraged them to actively participate in academic and co-curricular activities to broaden their knowledge and leadership capabilities.
Mr. Fakhrul Hasan, Director, Human Resources, Square Pharmaceuticals PLC, joined the event as a Special Guest. Drawing on his extensive corporate experience, he discussed the evolving role of HR professionals in modern organizations and highlighted the competencies expected by employers in today's competitive job market. He advised the students to focus on developing analytical, communication, and leadership skills while maintaining strong ethical values and a mindset of continuous learning.
The MPHRM Program places the highest priority on the development needs of aspiring HR professionals. The speakers emphasized the importance of ethical leadership, continuous learning, professional excellence, and industry-academia collaboration in preparing competent human resource professionals. They encouraged the newly admitted students to develop the knowledge, skills, and values required to succeed in the evolving corporate world.
The program was attended by the faculty members, HR professionals, media partners, strategic partners and other professionals from different organizations.
