Orientation Ceremony for Executive MBA Students of 9th Batch at DU Management Department
The orientation ceremony for the 9th batch of Executive MBA students of the Management Department at Dhaka University was held on September 01, 2026, at the Professor Abdullah Farooq Multipurpose Conference Hall. Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) of Dhaka University, Professor Dr. Abdus Salam, attended the event as the chief guest.
Presided over by the Executive Coordinator of the Executive MBA Program, Professor Dr. Nadia Nawaz Rimi, the event featured special guest speeches from the Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, Professor Dr. Mahmood Osman Imam; newly appointed Dean Professor Al-Amin; Chairman of the Management Department, Professor Dr. Mohammad Toufiqul Islam; retired Professor Md. Abbas Ali Khan, and Managing Director of Assrotex Group, Mohammad Asadul Islam. Executive MBA program committee member Dr. Kazi Moinuddin Mahmud delivered the vote of thanks, while MBA student Bonhi Shikha Thakur hosted the program.
Congratulating the students, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Abdus Salam remarked that alumni of the Faculty of Business Studies are successfully serving in various professional roles both at home and abroad. He highlighted the rapidly growing influence of Artificial Intelligence in today's workplace, emphasizing that students must acquire skills in AI to keep pace with the evolving times
