Fruitful Discussion Held Between CSEDU and Neural Semiconductor Limited on Industry-Academia Collaboration
On 24 July 2025, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), University of Dhaka, held a cordial and productive meeting with Neural Semiconductor Limited—a concern of DBL Group and one of the leading semiconductor companies in Bangladesh.
The discussion focused on potential industry-academia collaboration in areas including semiconductor technology, software development, embedded systems design, and AI integration. A special highlight of the meeting was an active conversation around the possibility of establishing an Incubation Lab within the department in the near future to foster innovation and research in these areas.
The meeting was attended by Mr. M. A. Jabbar, Managing Director of both Neural Semiconductor and DBL Group, along with Mr. Md. Shakhawat Hossain, Chief Executive Officer of Neural Semiconductor Limited.
From the University of Dhaka, the Department of CSE was represented by Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque (Chairman), Professor Dr. Hafiz Md. Hasan Babu and Associate Professor Mr. Abu Ahmed Ferdaus.
This meeting marks a promising step toward strengthening collaboration between academia and industry in the rapidly growing field of semiconductor and advanced computing technologies including embedded systems, software for chip, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Quantum Computing.
