Courtesy Meeting with Prof. Dr. Valentina Dagienė
On 24 February 2026: Prof. Dr. Valentina Dagienė met with the Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Dhaka, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, on 24 February 2026 at the Chairman’s office for a courtesy visit.
Prof. Dagienė is a Professor at Vilnius University and a well-known researcher in informatics education. She is internationally recognized for her contribution to computer science education and for her involvement in organizing the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) and other programming contests.
The Chairman warmly welcomed Prof. Dagienė and expressed his sincere interest in working together in the future. Both sides agreed to identify specific fields of collaboration and start joint activities soon.
During the meeting, Prof. Dagienė discussed possible collaboration opportunities between Vilnius University and the CSE Department of the University of Dhaka. She also met with the students of the department and exchanged ideas about research, programming education, and international competitions. She was accompanied with Prof. Dr. M. Kaykobad.
The Department of CSE looks forward to building a strong academic and research partnership with Prof. Dagienė and her institution.
