A five-day long workshop on “Manuscript” organized by the Dhaka University Library has begun today April 05, 2018 at the Library’s Cyber Centre of the university. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the workshop as chief guest.

Acting Librarian Prof. Dr. S M Zabed Ahmed presided over the function while Acting Librarian (Planning and Development) Syeda Farida Parveen delivered welcome speech. Deputy Librarian Syed Ali Akbar gave vote of thanks.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman stressed the need for deciphering of manuscript to upgrade the quality of education and research at the university. Terming the manuscripts as the most valuable resources of human civilization the VC said, we have to preserve these manuscripts in proper ways.  

It may be mentioned that students from various departments of Dhaka University are participating in the workshop.
