Chinese Ambassador in Bangladesh Mr. Li Jiming called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman today November 14, 2022 at the latter’s office of the university. He was accompanied by some other officials of Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest specially the possibilities of strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programs being conducted by the University of Dhaka and different universities in China. They also discussed the possibilities of introducing Bangla Language Course in various Chinese Universities.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman said, China has been hugely contributing to overall development of Bangladesh including education, research, infrastructure, trade and business for a long time. He stressed the need for undertaking more collaborative academic and research programs among DU and different universities in China.
The Ambassador said, the number of scholarship for DU students to pursue higher studies in China will be increased. The students who will learn Chinese Language will be given priority in this regard, he added. They also discussed about making a pool of Bangladeshi scholars on Contemporary China.
