A 6-member delegation of University of North Carolina, USA led by Prof. Dr. Sian Louise Curtis called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman today August 07, 2022 at the latter’s office of the university. Other team members are Prof. Dr. Gustavo Angeles, Dr. Kanta Jamil, Gabriela Escudero, Ahmed Al Sabir and Shusmita Khan of the same university. Chairman of DU Population Sciences Department Prof. Dr. Md. Rabiul Haque and some other faculty members were present on this occasion.

During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest specially the possibilities of strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programs between the University of Dhaka and University of North Carolina, USA.

Earlier Prof. Dr. Sian Louise Curtis delivered a lecture on ‘Fertility in Bangladesh’ at RC Majumder Arts auditorium of the university. The Department of Population Sciences of DU organized this event.
