Bangladesh has become the member of Asian Federation of Biotechnology (AFOB). Bangladesh has been admitted as the newest regional member in the Asian Federation of Biotechnology (AFOB) at its 11th Board Meeting on April 7, 2017 in Incheon, South Korea. The proposal for Bangladesh was presented by Prof. Dr. Md. Mozammel Hoq of DU Microbiology Department.
It may be mentioned that AFOB was established in 2008 in China as a nonprofit organization. The AFOB promotes cooperation between scientists from academia and industries across Asia to advance the fields of biotechnology and sustainable development.
