A seven-member delegation led by Mr. Chen Changzhi, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today April 5, 2017 at the latter’s office of the university. Chinese Ambassador in Bangladesh Mr. Ma Mingqiang, DU Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin, Director of Confucius Institute of DU Dr. Zhou Mingdong and some high officials of Chinese Embassy in Dhaka were present on this occasion.

          During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest specially the on-going academic and research collaboration between Dhaka University and Chinese universities. DU VC Prof. Arefin Siddique apprised Mr. Chen Changzhi of academic and research programs of Dhaka University. Mr. Chen Changzhi said, we like to enhance and intensify all sorts of cooperation including academic and cultural ones with DU as well as Bangladesh. He stressed the need for exchange of young generation to further strengthen existing friendly relationship between the two countries.

            Later Mr. Chen Changzhi and other members of the delegation visited Confucius Institute of Dhaka University.

          Vice-Chancellor Prof. Arefin Siddique thanked Mr. Chen Changzhi and other members of delegation for their visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in intensifying collaboration programs with DU. He presented DU Crest to Mr. Chen Changzhi.
