Acting Ambassador of Bhutan in Bangladesh Karma Wangzom paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today June 21, 2016 at the latter’s office of the university.

 Dean of the Faculty of Fine Art of DU Prof. Nisar Hossain and General Secretary of Society for Promotion of Bangladesh Art Rafi Haque were present, among others, on this occasion.

During the meeting they discussed various bi-lateral issues including development of art and culture in Bangladesh. They stressed the need for strengthening interaction among Bangladeshi Artists and Bhutanese ones. The possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs on fine art between Dhaka University and higher educational institutions in Bhutan were also discussed in the meeting.
