A three-member South Korean team led by Jeong-Sik Park, Headquarter Manager of New Renewable Energy of Daesung Maref Co. Ltd., Korea called on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today June 1, 2016 at the latter’s office of the university. Other members of the team are Doo-chon Hwang and Chung Hyun-Lee.

During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of bringing initially Dhaka University Administrative Building & Senate Building and finally the whole campus under solar power system with the help and cooperation of Daesung Maref Co. Ltd., Korea and KBJ Co. Ltd. DU VC Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique sought help and cooperation from Daesung Maref Co. Ltd. for providing equipment and technological support to the Institute of Solar Energy of Dhaka University. In this regard Jeong-Sik Park assured the Vice-Chancellor of providing necessary machineries and technological cooperation to Dhaka University.

          DU VC Prof. Arefin Siddique thanked the guests for their visit to and keen interest in bringing DU Campus under solar power with their help and cooperation.
