Lauren S. Arce, Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Philippines, Dhaka and LV Ignacio De Guzman, Third Secretary of the same embassy called on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today May 10, 2016 at the latter’s office of the university.

          Chairman of the Department of Theater & Performance Studies of DU Sudip Chakroborthy was present on this occasion.

          During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest specially holding of a cultural program titled “Choir” at the Shilpakala Academy Auditorium on May 27 and 29, 2016 under joint auspices of the University of Dhaka, Embassy of the Republic of Philippines and Shilpakala Academy. They stressed the need for strengthening bi-lateral relationship between Bangladesh and Philippines through cultural exchange and knowledge sharing. The possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs among Dhaka University and higher educational institutions in Philippines were also discussed in the meeting.
