Academia in Bangladesh is experiencing every essence of globalization just as other sectors of a country are. The University of Dhaka is leading the proliferation of education and research in a global context by ensuring affiliation with reputed national and international institutions. Such an effort was recently made by Faculty of Business Studies, the top business school of the university, which has jointly organized and participated an international conference with 5 renowned University of the world.

Out of 192 research papers, 96 papers got selected for presentation in the conference and the top 3 papers were awarded the best prizes. A group of fifteen faculty members lead by the Dean of the faculty, Professor Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam participated in the conference and presented their research papers. University of Dhaka was awarded the top two prizes among the three awards. This achievement of the awardees was highly appreciated by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of University of Dhaka, Prof. Dr. A.A.M.S. Arefin Siddique. Commenting on the accomplishment, Prof. Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam said, “There is still a long way to go and the Faculty of Business Studies aspires to become one of the top business schools in the world and top notch education and research are our priority for achieving the goal”.
