A special lecture on “Citizens of the world: the integration of transnational connected South Asian immigrants into Australian Society (with particular references to Bangladeshi and Pakistani immigrants)” organized by the Department of Geography and Environment of the University of Dhaka (DU) was held on 15 February 2016 at seminar room of the department. Consultant of City & Society of Australia Dr. Mohammad Iqbal delivered the lecture.
Chairperson of the Department of Geography and Environment of DU Professor Dr. Hafiza Khatun presided over the function while other faculty members also attended it.
Consultant of City & Society of Australia Dr. Mohammad Iqbal in his speech described the personal and functional characteristics of the South Asian immigrants in Australia. He stressed the need for making easier of international migration processes.
