Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique urged the students to come forward with the light of education to remove darkness from the society. He was addressing the orientation program of the first year Honors students of various departments under the Faculty of Social Sciences of Dhaka University (DU) held today (Monday) February 08, 2016 at the TSC auditorium of the university. Students’ Counseling and Guidance Office of DU organized the program.
Acting Director of Students’ Counseling and Guidance Office of DU Mahjabeen Haque presided over the function while Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Farid Uddin Ahmed addressed it as special guest.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique called upon the students to equip themselves with the spirit of our Liberation War as well as non-communal and humanitarian values to lead Bangladesh in the days to come. He said the world is not confined by the geographical boundary today in the 21st century. Therefore, students have to prepare themselves as international standard graduates to face the global challenges, he added. They must have a combination of academic excellent results and honesty to serve the nation, he also mentioned.
