Director of Higher Degree Research Program and Professor of the School of Law of the University of Western Sydney, Australia Dr. Daud Hassan called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today,  January 20,  2015 at the latter’s office of the university.

          Chairman of the Department of Oceanography of DU Prof. Dr. Md. Kawser Ahmed and some Ph D Scholars from University of Western Sydney were present on this occasion.

          During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of establishing “Ocean Governance Centre” at Dhaka University. They also discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs on oceanography by the University of Dhaka and University of Western Sydney, Australia. They agreed to sign a MoU in this regard soon.
