A two-member team led by Margaret Curran, International Regional Manager (South Asia) of Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today, October 29, 2015 at the latter’s office of the university. Other team member was Joy Jyoti Nandi.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest specially the possibilities of introducing a pilot project on skills development for the young students at Dhaka University. The SQA team sought cooperation from DU Vice-Chancellor to organize the training programs on this issue at the university. The VC assured the delegates of providing all possible support and cooperation in this regard.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked the guests for their keen interest to arrange training programs at DU. He hoped that this initiative would play an effective role to produce skilled human resources in Bangladesh. It may create more employment opportunities for the students, he added.
