A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Dhaka and Tech University of Korea was signed today June 29, 2026 at VC’s meeting room of the university for promoting cooperation in education and research. Treasure of DU Prof. Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and Director of ICT Intelligence Convergence Research Center Tech University of Korea Prof. Bae You-Suk signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institution.

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof. Dr. Upama Kabir, Chairman of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Prof. Dr. Md. Shafiul Alam, Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Prof. Dr. Md. Mamun-Or-Rashid and Director of ICT Cell Prof. Dr. Mosaddek Hossain Kamal were present on the occasion.

According to the MoU, Dhaka University and Tech University of Korea will work Jointly for the establishment and operation of an AI Manufacturing related department at the University of Dhaka. These two universities will work together for promoting cooperation in enhancing education and research as well as development of curricula, textbooks education content and implementation of capacity-building programs for students, faculty members and administrative staff. They will exchange teachers, students and researchers between the two universities. Besides, the two universities will jointly conduct short-term and long-term training programs for undergraduate and graduate students. They will jointly organize academic conferences, symposiums and seminars as well as participate in various international development cooperation programs. The two universities will also share research outcomes.
