Mr. A B M Ahasan Raqib works for the University of Dhaka as a lecturer in the Department of Educational Administration and Leadership, Institute of Education and Research (IER). Prior to joining the University of Dhaka, He served as an assistant professor at IER, Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. He started his teaching career as a part-time teacher at IER, Dhaka University on January 18, 2010, and left that position for a full-time faculty position at IER, Rajshahi University on January 05, 2013.
Mr. Raqib worked in a leadership position in various projects of higher education. He acted as a team in charge in the British Council, Bangladesh (INSPIRE R4) funded the University of Rajshahi and The Open University (UK) strategic partnership Project titled Enhancing higher education teaching and learning in Bangladesh: Fostering the pedagogical knowledge, teaching skills and research capabilities of early-career academics. He also worked as Deputy Sub Project Manager (DSPM) in Improvement of Teaching-Learning Provisions in the Institute of Education and Research, University of Rajshahi— a sub-project of Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) of UGC, Bangladesh, (CP No. 3539). He was a Core Team Member in the Self-Assessment Committee (SAC) of IER, University of Rajshahi.
Mr. Raqib has completed his Bachelor of Education (four years honours) from IER, Dhaka University, and Master of Education from the Department of Educational Administration from the same university. He has been awarded the Syeda Khatun memorial scholarship for achieving the highest marks among the boys in the Master of Education examination in 2006.
