Short Biography:

Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan is Professor at the Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka. He earned the degrees of Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS) and Master of Social Sciences (MSS) in International Relations from the University of Dhaka in 1994 and 1995 respectively. He received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2016. Prior to his joining the Department of International Relations in 2004, he worked in different research positions (Research Officer and Research Fellow) at the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) from April 1999 to October 2004. His areas of interests are theories of international relations, foreign policy analysis, security studies, and politics of Islam.
