Dr. Qazi Moinuddin Mahmud, AFHEA, is Associate Professor of Management at the University of Dhaka, specializing in Human Resource Management, governance, and organizational resilience. Sponsored by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (UK), he earned his PhD in Human Capital Development from the University of Bradford School of Management, where his doctoral research was awarded the Dean’s Prize for Innovation and Impact. A Bradford Graduate Fellow and Associate Fellow of Advance HE (UK), he has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Bangladesh and the UK. His research and writing have been published by leading international publishers including Palgrave Macmillan, Routledge, etc. and he has received advanced training in qualitative research methods at the University of Oxford as well as executive education in Strategy & Innovation and Digital Business at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Beyond academia, Dr. Mahmud has contributed extensively to corporate governance, having served as Independent Director and Board Chair of a listed financial institution. In these roles, he provided strategic oversight, strengthened audit and compliance practices, and advanced organizational accountability. His dual experience in academia and corporate leadership enables him to bridge theory and practice, enriching his teaching, research, and mentoring with practical insights into organizational strategy, governance, and leadership.
