Short Biography:

Tahmina Yesmin Shova joined as a faculty in the Department of Philosophy in 2011. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Applied Ethics from the Linköping University of Sweden in 2017. She completed her graduate and post-graduate degrees from the department of philosophy, the University of Dhaka in 2005 and 2006 respectively. She is associated with the Bangladesh Philosophical Society (BPS), Alumni Association of Linköping University (LIU), Dhaka University Alumni Association (DUAA), Asiatic Society of Bangladesh (ASB), and Alumni Association of Philosophy Department (AAPD).

Her main research interests are Social and Political Philosophy and Applied Philosophy. She is currently doing her research on different domains of political theories like liberal and libertarian ideas following the issues on multiculturalism, citizenship, human rights, public policy, good governance, and justice.
