Microplastics in the Environment

Microplastics are ubiquitous in the environment. They may find their way into humans and can potentially cause many problems, including cancers.

Air Pollution and Its Mitigation

The air pollutants have already started to take their toll on humans, especially children. Roadside tree species in cities could be exploited for their phytoremediation abilities.

Biochar for Sustainable Agriculture

Biochar has multiple functions in soils. It acts as an important pool of carbon. It can also modify soil's properties thereby benefitting a growing crop.

Carbon Dynamics in Forests

Soil carbon and carbon in the forests are integral parts of global energy balance.

Water Pollution and Its Mitigation

Water pollution is a common phenomenon in the world. Novel cost-effective technologies are needed to reclaim the polluted waterbodies.

Bio-based Sorbents Commercial sorbents are cost-prohibitive. Bio-based sorbents could be excellent alternative for the industrialists in the country, who are otherwise reluctant to put their effluent treatment plant in operation.
Phosphate Chemistry in Soil Phosphate is a vital element in soil for plant nutrition. Modeling phosphate sorption indices and soil properties is likely to enable farmers to optimize fertilizer application in agricultural soils.
