One and Half-Year Professional MS Program in Industrial-Organizational Psychology

The Department of Psychology patrons Master of Science one and half year program in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. The mission of the Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology Master’s Degree is to provide graduate students with the knowledge and skills that will prepare them for jobs in consulting, business and government, or to continue their education. Reflecting a commitment to the scientist-practitioner model of graduate education in I-O psychology, the curriculum includes training in the theoretical knowledge of I-O psychology and in the application of this knowledge in work settings. Additionally, this will produce industry expert psychologists to meet the challenges of Decent Work and Economic Growth of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
Students having a minimum CGPA of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 in the four-year BS (Honors) examination in Psychology/ Clinical Psychology or any other branch of Psychology and a minimum GPA of 3.50 on a scale of 5.00 in both the HSC and SSC (or equivalent) examinations are eligible to apply for admission. However, students who have completed their BS (Honors) degree more than two years prior to the MS session in which s/he is willing to admit are not eligible to apply. The decision regarding admission must finally be based on the written and oral tests of the candidates. These rules are applicable for all the students whether they have graduated from the University of Dhaka or from any other recognized universities. A total of maximum 35 students will be enrolled to the MS program where 20 students will be from within the University of Dhaka and 15 from other universities.
