DU VC condoles death of Professor Emeritus Dr. Sultana Zaman

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof.  Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman condoled the death of DU Professor Emeritus Dr. Sultana Sarwat Ara Zaman.

          In a condolence message today, 23 March 2020 Prof.  Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman expressed his profound shock at death of noted academician and psychologist  Professor Emeritus Dr. Sultana Sarwat Ara Zaman . He said Prof. Dr. Sultana Sarwat Ara Zaman played a pioneering role in establishing the Department of Special Education at the Institute of Education and Research of DU. She will be remembered for her great contribution to establish Bangladesh Protibandhi Foundation and other social welfare oriented organizations for changing the lots of disadvantaged, mentally and physically challenged children and women, DU VC said.

 

          Prof.  Akhtaruzzaman prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of Prof. Dr. Sultana Sarwat Ara Zaman and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family members of the deceased.

          It may be mentioned here that Prof. Dr. Sultana Sarwat Ara Zaman (87) died yesterday, 23 March 2020 at her daughter’s residence in the city. She was suffering from various old-age complications.
