A thirteen-member delegation led by Mr. Sun Yong, Vice-Governor of Anhui Province of China called on Dhaka University (DU) Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed today August 25, 2025 at the VC’s Meeting Room of the university. Other team members were Mr. Zhou Mingjie, Mr. Fang Jinsong, Ms. Yang Xiaolin, Mr. Hou Qijie, Ms. Wang Haixia, Mr. Yang Zhen, Mr. Liu Yang, Mr. Zhai Rongsheng, Mr. Wang Mingxin, Mr. Liu Chunyang, Ms. Wang Zhengqiao and Mr. Chen Shansheng.

During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interests specially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs on science & technology, biotechnology and artificial intelligence among Dhaka University and different universities in China. Exchange of teachers, students and cultural teams among Dhaka University and different Chinese universities were also discussed in the meeting.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed said, the historical friendly relationship between Bangladesh and China has been prevailing for long years. He stressed the need for undertaking more collaborative academic and research programs between Dhaka University and Chinese universities.
