Feni, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Comilla, Khagrachari, Chittagong and the south-eastern part of Bangladesh have recently experienced severe flood events. More than 0.57 million people were affected by the flood and caused significant damages and losses. A team of students and faculty from the Department of Disaster Science and Climate Resilience works in the flood-affected areas to conduct rescue operations for people affected by these floods. Subsequently, three other teams of the department coordinate with themselves and various organizations to provide emergency food, medicines, drinking water, dry clothes, sanitary napkins, water purification tablets, etc. to the flood affected areas. After that, the teams will focus on rehabilitation and reconstruction.
