Dear All,
Greetings! We are delighted to announce that we are actively working on the establishment of the DU Criminology Cultural Club (DUCCC), an exciting initiative aimed at promoting cultural awareness and fostering a sense of community within our esteemed department.
However, please be informed that due to certain logistics constraints, we require additional time to finalize all aspects of DUCCC, including its structure and executive committees, dedicated space, member registration, and core activities. Rest assured that a dedicated group of students is volunteering their time and effort to bring this cultural club to fruition successfully.
As we understand the eagerness surrounding DUCCC, we have planned a special event in the meantime to showcase our commitment to providing engaging experiences for all students. We are pleased to inform you that DUCCC has organized a movie show exclusively for students of the Criminology Department. DUCCC is thrilled to invite you to an extraordinary movie show titled "Zodiac," where we will delve into the riveting world of criminal investigation and the twisted mind of a notorious serial killer.
"Zodiac" is a gripping crime thriller directed by David Fincher, based on the true story of the Zodiac Killer, a mysterious and elusive serial killer who terrorized San Francisco in the late 1960s and early 1970s. This chilling tale follows a group of dedicated investigators and journalists who became obsessed with unmasking the Killer and bringing him to justice. The movie showcases the complexities of criminal profiling, forensic analysis, and the relentless pursuit of truth in the face of darkness.
The movie will be followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion featuring esteemed faculty members from the Department of Criminology. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in a meaningful discussion about criminal behavior and profiling. After the discussion, we have an exhilarating and surprising section of the event just for all of you!
I think this event is an excellent opportunity for students to gain insights into the world of criminal investigations, forensic analysis, and the challenges faced by law enforcement agencies when dealing with serial offenders.
We encourage all students, faculty and alumni members to join us for this compelling and educational movie show.
Registration is free, and light refreshments (popcorn must) will be provided.
