In the field of education, the Trauma-Informed Approach changes our perspective from
“What’s wrong with you?” to “What has happened to you?”
This workshop is designed especially for teachers, educators and learning enthusiasts to offer a platform for sharing experiences, generating ideas and developing insights on the impact of trauma in learning and growth. Trauma impacts our physiology, our psychological and emotional health and our overall well-being impacting on our ability to engage in learning experiences.
The workshop will cover:
- How trauma impacts our health and psychological well-being
- Learning from real-life experiences shared by participants
- Ways to create a safe, trusting, and supportive learning environment (Learning Sanctuary)
- How such an environment enhances learners’ engagement and sense of safety
